spending some time working on new projects for my one with nature series.
I found a bunch of redwood bark in my area to paint on. It felt great to be around the trees and to hold nature in my hands. There is so much energy that radiates from trees. I'm blessed to have the chance to work directly with them and to feed off that energy in my art.
Last night I was working on a painting. I'm painting with acrylics, watercolor, and ink on palm bark.
I am currently working on a new series which will be featured in the collaborative show with photographer Rachel Escobar. It will be called "One With Nature" and be a series of paintings on natural objects. The series is meant to illustrate that spirit is one with nature.
Happy New Year everyone! I just want to take a moment to thank everyone for making 2013 such an amazing year. I am truly blessed to have been able to share all these memories with such incredible people. 2014 is here and I have nothing but excitement and anticipation flowing through me. Let's make it great!
Currently working on a new piece. I am working with graphite on translucent watercolor paper at the moment.
